Effective August 2000 current UA apprentices who complete their apprenticeship can earn up to 32 college credits for their experience with WCC. UA members can use this credit to earn as Associate Degree in Construction Supervision, Industrial Training, or Journeyperson General Studies from WCC. Apprentices are registered for this credit through the Training Director Scott Klapper. Members interested in registering should contact WCC, Michael Griffith at 1-888-232-5476. You will need to be registered in the system to receive credit.
Journeyworkers
UA members who achieved journey status prior to August 2000 will need to pass the UA STAR exam in order to receive the 32 credits for theirapprenticeship experience.

Math and Science Credit
Three credits of math and three credits of science
(6 total) are awarded within the 32 credits for completion of apprenticeship or the UA STAR exam. These credits can be applied towards the Applied Science degree option only.
